The Power of Manifesting

I’ve believed in something bigger out there for as long as I can remember. I grew up Catholic, but over the years, the spiritual side of things has definitely taken over my life.

I’ve learned that the more positive and optimistic you can be, the more you start to see good things happen. I’ve watched it work in my own life. People have told me that I’m usually optimistic and wondered why. I guess part of it is that I’ve always believed things can work out, even when I don’t know exactly how they’re going to happen.

My whole life, I’ve also always believed in saying out loud what you want. How can you expect something to happen if you never put it out there? Sometimes, things seem to happen almost immediately.

My husband and I were talking about this just this morning. He was telling me how sometimes he’ll mention a client, and within minutes, that person calls him. As we were talking about it, his phone rang. Yep. The very person we were just talking about!

I even catch myself sometimes trying not to think about someone when I’m not ready to talk to them, because I believe so strongly in this stuff.

I know it might sound a little crazy to some people, but I’ve seen it happen too many times to ignore it.

Here’s what I believe: If you want something, say it out loud. Believe it can happen. Even get a little excited thinking about having it. Then pay attention to what starts happening around you.

It may not happen overnight, and it may not look exactly like you imagined. Sometimes the path takes a completely different turn. But you start noticing little things moving in the right direction. A conversation happens. Someone makes a connection. An opportunity shows up that you hadn’t even considered. Before you know it, things are shifting, and you’re getting closer to what you wanted. Sometimes, you end up somewhere even better than you expected.

And this is why I think it’s so important to tell people what you want. Put it out there! Let people know what you’re interested in, what you’re working toward, and what you’d love to do. You never know who might be listening, who might remember you, or who might know someone looking for exactly what you have to offer.

I also think a big part of manifesting is being yourself and not trying so hard to fit in. We spend so much time worrying about what other people think, whether we’re doing things the right way, or whether someone might think we’re a little out there. Who cares? The older I get, the less interested I am in trying to be what someone else thinks I should be.

You have to own who you are, what you want, and what makes you different. Not everyone is going to get you, and that’s okay. The right people will. Sometimes, the very thing that makes you different is what gets you noticed or opens a door you never expected.

If you’re constantly trying to fit into someone else’s idea of who you should be, how can you possibly make room for the life you actually want? Be yourself, say what you want out loud, and don’t apologize for having big ideas. You never know where being unapologetic might take you.

I’ve always believed that referrals are one of the best ways to get things moving, especially in my line of work. Networking, meeting people, having conversations, and putting yourself out there all create opportunities. You’re not just sitting around waiting for something to happen. You’re giving it a chance to find you.

I don’t think manifesting means you sit on the couch, think happy thoughts, and wait for the universe to drop a check in your lap. Wouldn’t that be nice? It means believing in what you want, talking about it, staying open to possibilities, and taking action when opportunities come your way.

For me, it starts with a positive mindset and a little faith in the unknown. I don’t need to know exactly how everything is going to work out. I just need to believe that it can.

So, what is it you want? Have you said it out loud? Have you told anyone?

Put it out there. Believe in it. Stay open. And see what happens.
