Working with dogs is so much fun. Especially if they are the trained dogs like we had in this Greenies dog treat commercial. They are super smart and sweet!
I had a pretty place to begin with but the trend at the time in home decor was gray and white, no color whatsoever in this location household. This was a blank palette so, the director wanted me to make it more feminine with colorful touches.
I started my design plan choosing a fabulous artist named Michelle Reeves Award-winning contemporary botanical artist Michelle Reeves creates original paintings inspired by the belief that beauty is far more than decoration—it is an essential part of a meaningful life.
She creates beautiful, colorful, floral artwork and this piece I chose filled the huge space over the fireplace nicely. I got blue and pink accent pillows and touches of gold to dress the space up. A few floral vases topped it off. The room is still mostly a white space to show off the Greenies bag and the dog but now looks more lived in.
I am so happy to see color coming back into design in 2026. It will make it easier to use my expertise to pump it up and make more of an impact. Check out more recent images on my pages to see the crazy colorful sets I have designed.
